If you have a number of ranges with the same dimensions, you can produce a summary range that shows the total for each position in the range using the Data / Consolidation command. It is hugely flexible, and there are a whole raft of options you can make use of depending on what you want to do.
Maybe you should experiment a bit before trying to use it. Certainly read the help on the command which is pretty comprehensive.
