What is an MDE file and how do I open it using MS Access 2000?

Hi All,
I have an MDE DB file and I need to open it using MS
Access 2000. I keep receiving an error message. Can anyone
help?

Can you tell us the error message you are receiving? An MDE is a pseudo
compiled MDB file. The modules, forms and reports are converted into a
somewhat compiled state that no longer allows design views.
