I need a recommendation for a good soundcard, which incorporates the drivers
for Vista. At this moment I am using the the integrated sound (Soundmax) of
my ASUS MB, which does not work properly.

Even a very basic soud card such as the Soundblaster Audigy blows away the
integrated audio on many motherboards (I upgraded my Asus board too). The
Audigy is a great budget, fine-sounding board and working (imo) and a quick
check on Creative's site verified that yes, they have written Vista drivers
for it.

The environmental audio just didn't work well on my integrated audio, and I
kept having to re-tell it that I had surround speakers, etc. It was kind of
a pain. In my experience the sound card worked out of the box and my HL2 Ep2
and MOH sounded much better. Good shopping...
