WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BETA PERIOD IS OVER

I have to say that I really like this product and wish that it did not have
an expiration date looming next month.

Does anyone know if MS plans to release this as an system upgrade or patch
-- or if they plan to develop it into a product that they will market and
sell for $$$?
 
Bill Sanderson has made a a very gallant attempt to speculate the answer to
part of your question (See Windows Defender 14/11 in this group) and ensuing
threads. As for pricing. Bill G. stated in February this year that Windows
Defender (as it is now called), will be free to home users running genuine
Windows. The corporate version will cost $$$$. Yet to be decided.
