What happens after expiration?

At the same MS download site - the 1.0.613 was dated 06.23, 2005, the new
is dated 06.24, 2005.

Build 614 was released on June 24, 2005. It can be had at
http://www.microsoft.com and following the links.

This will extend the drop dead date until Dec 31, 2005.

Microsoft has announced that the release version of MWAS will be available
at no additional cost to licensed Windows customers.

What will the users be asked to do? How is the move of beta folks to the
release supposed to happen. Will it show up on windows updates. Will they
get a popup when it starts with instructions. ?????????????????????????????

I have user who are using this and I want to know what is going to happen.
I dont want to spend new years day on the phone with clients telling them not
to panic...

So far, during the beta, there have been two mechanisms for new builds: The
first time, I believe Microsoft publicized the availability of the new
build, and users had to go to the download center and download it.

The last set of revs involved a popup from Microsoft Antispyware itself,
giving notice of the build availability, and a yes/no button to choose to
download then.

I can't predict what will happen this time around--I hope the popup
notification. In any case, you are free to download directly and
distribute--once the download is available. Historically, they've come
pretty close to the deadline--so encourage your users not to panic.
