Been looking at the new version of outlook and noticed it doesn't have a short cut pane. Now all the short cuts are two clicks instead of one. Is there some setting that I can't find or has it been dropped?

What are you referring to as "the shortcut pane"? What shortcut are you trying to have access to?

Use the Shortcuts button at the bottom of the navigation pane.

That's what makes it 2 clicks instead of one, click on shortcuts then click
on the shortcut itself. The shortcut pane I'm talking about has small icons
and lists things vertically and is always open.

That was the Outlook Bar and, yes, it's gone in Outlook 2003.
