What function returns the Nth position in a sequence of numbers?

Hi

What is the function that tells you (without doing a manual sort)
which position a cell's value is within a range of values?

I've used it before but I cant find it in Excel's Help !

Check out the MATCH function in Excel's help menu...

Look up RANK() in the Help files.
Pay attention to that third argument.
