I would hope that the _content_ of your resume was more important than
the format (of course you're right: with a bad format, the content might
not even be considered). But why would a resume for a law firm have to
be *formatted* differently than for another office job?
So I don't really see what councel we can give. Maybe you want to try to
get hold of some of the company's letters (so you might see whether
they're using rather modern or traditional layouts/types etc.). But if
you really want to imitate that (or rather stand out), nobody but you
can make this decision.
