What film scanner for 35mm and Pana-vue [38mm square]

Am considering purchasing a film scanner, and wondered if anyone had
knowledge of a unit that can scan larger framed trannies (outer casing is
5cm like traditional 35mm, but the inner Pana-vue area is abt 38mm x 38mm).

Have quite a few tourist slide packs purchased by family in the 70s and a
few personal slides that were processed to similar size. I can't think of
the type (they all colour distort with a magenta hue, unlike the better
Kodak process).

I don't know of such a scanner (but of course one might exist somewhere).
However, I have had good luck with Digital ROC in a Nikon LS40 (it won't
take that size slide).
ROC even cured color shifts in some color negatives...

I scanned some in my 35mm Nikon scanner (LS-40). I just had to decide
whether I wanted portrait or landscape cropping... I managed to get
the most import portions of the slides.

Check eBay for a pre owned Polaroid SprintScan Plus.
Don't pay more than $150, tops. (I paid $1300 for a
new one, about five or six years ago.)

They scan an area 35mm x 35mm or so. In other words,
they'll happily scan a 35 mm slide regardless of its
orientation in the scanner.
