What excel formula gives me the funcion (x*y%)/12 in my calculator

Being:

x= value in one cell
y= value in another cell

It seams that my calculator gives me one result and excel another. My
formula in excel must be wrong.

basicly it would be...
=(B4*C4)/12
where b4 is the first value and c4 is the % value.
what numbers are you working with and what results were you expecting?

Excel has a quirk in using the % as a multiplier. You should use the decimal
equivalent to get the right answers. I forget where I read it, but somewhere
in either the Excel or the VBA help file, it warns the users about certain
calculations using a percentage as opposed to the decimal equivalent.
