What does the Microsoft AntiSpyware program do?

O

Orville Noah

I am baffled. I have been running the beta version of the Microsoft
AntiSpyware program for at least couple of months now, but this
particular program haven't done anything worthwhile that I can tell.
I do use Spybot & Ad-Aware but they do not clean up anything
automatically. I have to run them at least once a week to clean up
my PC.

Can anyone educate me about the Microsoft AntiSpyware program?
Appreciate readers comments.

MSAS doesn't bother with cookies since they are just text files that get
used by some other process, like the web sites you visit. There are plenty
of cookie managers around, some of which are free, or configure the
browser's own settings for cookie management (even IE has cookie
whitelisting and you could just reject all others whether 1st or 3rd party).
