I cannot find why this [Group] designation appears next my filename? Seems
to be disallownig me to change print areas, and other settings??

You have more than one sheet selected. Right click any sheet, and if
available, select the "Ungroup sheets" option.

Also........

You may have had these sheets grouped for some time.

Any changes made to one of the grouped sheets will be replicated on all
others.

Might be a good idea to check the data on each sheet in that case.

Grouped sheets are handy in some cases, but if forgotten, can lead to
disastrous results.
