WHAT DOES LDAP UNAVAILABLE MEAN

It means the ldap address book is not available.

Did you upgrade from an internet mail version of outlook to Outlook
2002/2003? Go to tools, email accounts, view or change address books and
delete the ldap address book. (Upgrading erroneously creates it.)
