what does cant create listen socket on port 110.unknown error at ?

i have no computer knowledge and i was trying to install my compuserve
installation
cd, when i got the above message, the rest of it says unknown error at
pop3proxy.
pl.line 397..can someone please help me fix this???

i would need step by step details of the how to's.....i have an e machine
