Am a little sheepish for asking this one, but need to
resolve this.

I want to use MS's current terminal service client to
connect Win2k Pro machines to Win2KAS and Win2KS servers.
Everyothing on Microsoft's site says to use this:
msrdpcli.exe

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/rdclientdl
..asp

But I install this and see no icons appear on my deskop
and I also cannot see how to invoke the terminal services
client. Is it an MMC plugin or something hidden.

Thanks for any help.

It adds the program to Start -> Programs -> accessories -> communications, however this is NOT the current RDPclient. The current client is version 5.2.3790 which shipped with Windows Server 2003 and can be downloaded here

The program is not a MMC, but rather an executable called mstsc.exe which is in the system32 folder, and can be alternatively launched via Start -> Run -> mstsc. Usually you launch the program, change the settings for your connection and do "Save as" to make a desktop shortcut which you can copy to who's ever computers have Remote Desktop installed
