What are these weird directories?

Hello All,

I was just doing a virus scan on my computer, and I saw that it was
scanning THOUSANDS of files under these directories:

~JSA.000
~JSrc.000
~JTrg.000

It looks like they contain a backup of the directory structure of the
drive. All of the directories are there, replicated under these three
directories.

What are these things? Something that XP does? Something related to a
Restore Point? Something a virus may have done?

Any help would be appreciated...
