What are the differences between build #'s 5744, 5840, & 6000?

I have been using RC2 build 5744 for quite some time now, and it's working
fine.
I was given a pre-release copy of Vista Ultimate at the recent Boston show,
it is build 5840.
The final release is build 6000.
Can anyone tell me the specific feature differences between these?
I"m tempted to use the 5840 I got at the show, but I'm not sure if i'm
missing out on any features.
thanks...

jimmy,

Not sure what the exact differences are but your 5840 build that you got at
the show will not update (at least mine doesn't). I also had a problem with
my video driver not displaying correct that did work fine under 5744. Build
5840 IS a beta build and even though winver makes it look like it might not
expire, it's not worth playing with if you can't get updates.

Save your self countless hours of headache and upgrade to the 6000 build (or
at least stay at 5744).

I had no problem updating with 5840, but i do notice some subtle
differences...
Was hoping someone had the goods on all of it... i guess it's not in Ms
interest to explain all....
ps. i'm running on a separate machine, not willing to go there...
I've been on 5744 with absolutely no problems,,, and it f-ing fast too...
3.4 ghz p4, 1 gig of ram... very impressive...

Anything prior to build 6000 is pre-release. RTM is 6000. Those versions
are feature complete, for the most part. They differ in stability, fine
tuning and drivers.
