What are symtoms of radio frequency noise, etc.?

1) I'm curious about how much of a problem RF noise from PCs can be.
If I run a modern PC with no case, who will be impacted and how?
Just me listening to an AM radio within 2 feet, or the HAM radio
guy next door, or the old man with a pacemaker, or who and what?

2) If I wanted to pass the FCC test for home use (Class B, IIRC),
what size mesh would I need to cover a large airflow hole (eg, 10")
in the side of a case? (Don't ask. :)

3) Do retail cases with windows (nearly) all use some kind of
almost-clear coating to prevent RF escape or do they (and the
buyers) just not care about RF noise?

To be honest a Ham operator will have decent filtering anyway. Mainly
it's confined to home AM radios but it can affect CB radios a little
when placed within a few feet of the PC.

As a Ham operator for over 30 years and into computers for over 20 years I
can tell you that there is nothing that can be done on the radio end to
filter out the noise a computer generates. There are some noise blankers
that will help out but it also chops out some of the signal.
You have to clean up or contain the computer noise at the computer.
