What are Process Modules

While scanning my PC with Adaware I see I have 46 running processes and
under that there are over 2,000 process modules. What are process modules
and is over 2,000 alot??

Process modules relates to Dynamic Link Libraries. A program (.exe)
makes calls to procedures or routines that exist outside the .exe itself.
46 processes/2000 support modules isn't excessive - when you add
up System processes and the users Anti-Virus, Firewall, etc.. On my
own system an AdAware session notes 28 processes & 1280 modules.
