welcome screen

Prior to downloding new upgrades from microsoft... my
laptop (Windows XP) would go directly from the welcome
screen to the desktop. However now it stops and makes
you click on OWNER before going to the desktop. Very
bothersome. How can i make it go directly from welcome
to desktop???

Hi,

One of the updates you installed was the .net framework which adds a user
account and causes this to happen.

It's easy to fix. Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.
