welcome screen choppy when logging user into windows.

2 users on the welcome screen.
When I login with a user the Username is choppy when it drops down and says
"loading your personal settings".
It does not smoothly go down.
the pc has 512mb ddr 400 ram and a cpu/mobo with 800mhz fsb.

Is this the only problem you are experiencing? Did this start happening
after you made a change to your system? What kind of video card do you
have?

I've noticed it on various computers.
the one here is a fresh install of all service packs and drivers from
gigabyte.
the board is a gigabyte 8s661fxm-rz prescott 2.4Ghz cpu, onboard video and
1Gig ram.
nothing is wrong with the pc, just wondering why it's choppy when the login
name drops down.
