Weird problem with PowerPoint Viewer

I created a presentation in PPT 2007 and then saved down to PPT
97-2003. When I look at my slideshow in 97-2003 Viewer (because I want
to see what someone would see if they only have 97-2003 and not 2007)
I notice a couple of weird things.

First, when I move from one slide to another, the right side border of
the slideshow image seems to jump to the right and back during the
transition. Most people probably wouldn't notice it but being a detail
nazi I find it very distracting. Also, some freeform shapes I created
get chopped up and garbled and look nothing like they do in the
original file. These are not shapes created with new feature of 2007 -
strictly a freeform drawing that could have easily been done in
97-2003.

Any ideas why these problems are occurring? It's very frustrating. Any
ideas or workarounds? I would love to just stick with 2007 but when I
post presentations to my website I have to assume many people are
still viewing with 97-2003 so I have ot make sure it looks right with
that Viewer.

Probably the file will look okay in PPT 2003 through 97. It's just the
Viewer that's the problem.

Actually, it's something to do with a combination of PPT 2007's downlevel
save + viewing the file in the PPT Viewer. Things go wonky. Text overlaps
and stuff like that. I don't know what the problem is. I do know that MS is
aware of it.

Anyway, if your users are viewing with PowerPoint, it should be okay. It's
only if they're viewing with the Viewer that it's an issue.
