weird problem, missing fonts and misaligned stuff

I have my xpe machine up and running ok, but some settings and installers are
all messed up. When i ran the installer for the sound card it was squashed
and the text was some dots, had to just press enter and guess my way through
it. That wasn't really a problem and I didnt see anything similar until
installed touchscreen drivers. The installer was fine, but if I go into
touchscreen settings some of the pages have no text, and some settings pages
are fine. I've captured a couple of pics because its kinda hard to describe..

It sounds like you have some invalid fonts or something missing, try
this component in your image: http://xpefiles.com/cs/files/folders/software/entry693.aspx

I've often found that the serif fonts are to blame. These have to be
manually pulled in as they are not included in the "All Fonts" selection.
Certainly this is the case with UK English.

I had the problem you describe with a touchscreen driver installer.

I tried adding all the fonts from my xp pro pc but it made no difference.

So after some more googling I added the Codepage application compatibility
component, that has fixed my problem :)
