Weird lined paper watermark

G

George Frost

As of a week ago, I open a new WORD document and instead
of a clean pristine sheet I get a lined page. Lines
appear as a watermark and are equally spaced accross all
pages. I looks like a kids writing book or a lined pad.

It does not appear in Normal view, Web Page or outline
view, onñy Print view in which I work.

I too am going nuts trying to write letters with these
lines.

How do I delete them please.

Hi, George,

It seems you've gotten the "grid" displayed. It's supposed to be an aid for
positioning graphics. To turn it off, first display the Drawing toolbar. At
the left end of the toolbar, click the Draw button and select Grid from the
popup menu. In the dialog, uncheck the box for "Display gridlines on
screen".

Display the Drawing toolbar. In Draw | Grid, clear the check box for
"Display gridlines on screen."
