weird divide by 100 problem in blank sheet.

Hi all,

Hope someone can help me out here...

When I open Excel and start a new XLS document all goes as expected.

When I type in a number (any number) it gets divided by 100... !!

Eg.. type in 120 press enter... 1.20 is shown.

This is in a blank workbook.

Any ideas what is causing this ??

I've looked at "Style" and number format is set to General.
I've tried other number types in there too.. to no avail,.

Doz,

You have the Fixed Decimal setting enabled. You should see the
'FIX' status indicator in the lower right corner of the screen. To
turn this off, go to the Tools menu, choose Options, then the Edit
tab. There, uncheck the "Fixed Decimal" setting.
