my problem seems to be the opposite of what most people are having.

My birthdays and holidays were entered in 2003.

I imported the entire PST file when i re formatted my HD.

Everything is there, except that the calander does not show the
birthdays UNLESS i scan back in the calander to 2003 then back forward
to 2005. Then all holidays and birthdays are shown.

Otherwise when i just open outlook they are not there.

Anyway to make them show without scanning back?

PS i read all the old posts here, and i tried to change the contact
and re-save. but that doesn't seem to do it.

I have to physically go back to 2003 then fast forward to today EVERY
TIME i start outlook

Also, the birthdays show up right away on my PDA and on Desktop Side
bar, both of which get their info from Outlook

I have noticed that with all the contacts added from the old version,
if i add a birthday to a pre existing contact, it doesn't show up

But if i Create a new contact, that info shows up.

Try this. Double click on a recurring calendar item like a birthday. Open
All Occurences in series. Click on recurrences tab and examine the start
and end dates.

Spediteur.
