Weekly Network Interruption

Does anyone know if adding an MSSQL server to a Windows 2000 Powered OS
cause interruptions to a network connection? If not, are there any known
reasons for weekly interruptions a network connection storage unit?

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at shiskin.com
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Sorry, I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1)
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.

Not that I can think of.

But something running on a weekly schedule in the Task Scheduler or some
other similar third party scheduler might run somehting that causes
problems.

Does the unit get its IP address from DHCP?
If so, what is the DHCP Lease period? (one week?)
Do you have a firewall in place that might block DHCP IP lease
renewals?

HTH,

Nah, it has a fixed IP address. I've been thinking it's an MSSQL server
issue because I installed the MSSQL server in an OS/Workstation that was not
designed to behave as a server (Only as a storage device)
