Any easy way to uninstall Webshots software once installed? Someone
downloaded it on an office computer (Win XP Professional) and it's slowing
down the works. If no easy uninstall, how do we at least deactivate from
starting up when XP loads? Thx

Greetings,

The basic tool to control startup is here -

click START
click run
type "msconfig"
press Enter

That should start the MS Config tool,
then click on the STARTUP tab

that will show you the list of programs started at boot-time.

Remove Webshots from there (and anythign else you see is optional rubbish.)

Well, you've managed to take the time to multiple post to many Windows XP
newsgroups, but I bet you havn't taken the time to "google" or visit the
webshots web site to find out how to uninstall or handle this spyware. ;-)

Tom,I did in fact do that. It was only when i saw multiple Google entries
that indicated it was difficult to uninstall (short of hacking the registry)
that I decided to post.. The website also has no clearcut uninstallation
instructions, at least not in their "help" or faqs. Thanks.
