While viewing a webpage it refreshes by itself and I must scroll back down to
the section I was reading. This gets rather annoying. I am running XP Pro SP2
and IE6. I have opened internet options in control panel>general
tab>temporary internet files>settings>check for newer versions of stored
pages>every visit to the page is selected. Cache size is 50MB. Advanced
tab>empty temporary internet files when browser is closed is checked. Is this
a meta refresh tag embedded in the webpage that's causing this? Is there
anyway to keep this from happening?

Sorry, I should have specified that. It appears to happen primarily when
viewing webpages (news items) linked to from myYahoo!. I don't use any RSS
feeds nor do I have a RSS viewer installed.

It may be the ads refreshing, I would bet that is something on their
pages. You could try disabling Javascript to see if it stops.
