webpage redirection

Everytime that I click a link or change websites I am redirected to a website
off of www.ads234.com. I recently loaded the host file from the sticky
section that redirects known add/spyware websites to the local machine, so
each time I am redirected it comes up with "page cannot be displayed."

I have scanned with the latest version of Spybot and Ad-aware and I have
installed SpywareBlaster. I have also run CWShredder.

Any help on how to kill this redirector would be greatly appeciated. Thanks!

Not all web redirectors are simply "adware". Some are known viruses that
Norton and/or McAfee will clean.
I've manually had to clean some of these and it isn't fun. I had to use
Spybot, McAfee, Norton, and some manual batch scripts I had to write for the
specific variant on the user's PC.
In other words, the cavalry may not be able to fix you.
You need to boot off a current antivirus CD and see if you can clean it.
A cheap but troublesome way to clean it is to remove your hard drive from
your computer and "slave" it into another PC. Then scan it with Spybot,
Ad-Aware, Norton, and McAfee.
Then put it back in your PC and hope for the best.
Good luck with this.
