WebBrowser Control

B

Berni

Hello

I'm using the WebBrowser control to show some HTML content. I managed to
restrict the URLs that can be opened to some known domains. Unfortunatly i
can't control a file dialog popup if the HTLM code contains something like
this:
....
<input type="file" name="datafile" size="40"/>
....

Does anyone know a method how i can prevent this file dialog from being
opened? The form with the file-upload should simple not work in my
application.

Dear Berni,

As I understand, you want to prevent the file dialog from being opened, to
achieve this, how about disabling the file controls? If disabling the file
controls makes sense to you, you can set the "Disabled" property of the
file control to "disabled" in the WebBrowser.DocumentCompleted event
handler function, something like this:

void webBrowser1_DocumentCompleted(object sender,
WebBrowserDocumentCompletedEventArgs e)
{
HtmlElementCollection InputElements =
this.webBrowser1.Document.GetElementsByTagName("input");

foreach (HtmlElement el in InputElements)
{
if (el.GetAttribute("type").Equals("file",
StringComparison.CurrentCultureIgnoreCase))
{
el.SetAttribute("Disabled", "Disabled");
}
}
}

Should you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.

Sincerely,
