Web Search returns "no documents found"

I did " Recalculate Hyperlinks" to purge old documents and recieve a "no
documents found" message. But when I add a new page or change an old one, it
will come up in the search. Anybody know why after a "Recalculate
Hyperlinks" is done the search can't find anything?

Using IIS on a 2003 machine

open the live web in FrontPage, hit tools/ web settings/ advanced tab
(there's a clear temporary files checkbox). clear the temp files.
then do a tools/ recalculate hyperlinks.

remember it working for me a long while ago.

If you make web sites for other people, you should check out ContentSeed:

Windows 2003 does not support WAIS search and requires the use of Index catalog
- have you set up and Index catalog for the web folder in IIS and set your search form to use it
