is it possible to extract from a sub-tabular level ?

i.e. extract only the last 8 cells in row 3

maybe a dot notation? table1.3.2:9 or the like??
 
Nope. You'll have query the whole table onto another sheet, then use
formulas/macros to extract the data you want.
