Web page starts on startup

Can anyone help me with this problem.
When I start my XP computer now as one of the things it
does is begins a webpage titled "SEARCH". This began
after my anti-virus program caught a virus.
How do I stop this web page from starting?

In Internet Explorer to to the Tools menu and choose Internet Options. It
sounds like the home page has been changed. Change the Home Page back to
what you normally use.
