web links not working in outlook 2007

My web links in my email messages are not working. I am using Office 2007,
Vista 64 bit Ultimate with SP2.

I have tried some of the fixes in other messages with limited success. I
have done the reset on IE8 at one point and that did work for an hour or
so....

Any other ideas would be appreciated!
