Web images will not display...

I've read through about 35 pages of the board, my eyes are
tired...I'm having trouble with Red x's displaying on
websites with .gif images, yahoo for example. I've read
about it possibly being my cable modem, my Java VM, any
ideas??

Do a repair of IE6.

Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP
