Whenever I open up IE, I get an error message saying:

"Cannot find 'file:///c:/searchpage.html'"

Is there a way to "bring back" this file?

You don't want that file. It is a varient of the CoolWeb
Search Trogan. You need to get rid of it.

Here is a link for manual removal:

forum/11369.html

If you are not comfortable with manual removal, you
should go to one of the following forums where experts
will help you clean the (spyware/garbage) from your
system.

You will need both of these tools:

Hijack This -
http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe
CWShredder -
http://209.133.47.200/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe

Alternate Download sites:

Hijack This - http://tomcoyote.com/hjt
CW Shredder - http://aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip

Download Hijack This
Important Put Hijack in its own folder...it makes backups
of what is to be removed in case restore is needed.
(don't use a temp folder or the desktop...backups get
lost there. Click on the program and scan, DON'T FIX
ANYTHING, click save log. Post your log file to a forum
for help.
