No, it doesn't! ... well it did, but nothing like Windows.
Let me explain as best I can ... under the version of Linux I preferred, OpenSuse, I got it to run as a service, I had no 'graphical' interface whatsoever ... when I rebooted, I would have to restart that service using the a 'consol' command ... nohup ./boinc > & /.dev/null & ... don't forget the spaces, took me awhile to find that command sequence.
If, however, I were running Ubuntu Linux, then I could have simply 'installed' Boinc as an err, normal, package.
I hope they may have improved the 'install' of Boinc on other Linux Distros ... your millage may vary.
I really hope you have better luck than I did ... it did run, but it was a bloody pain to keep an eye on.
