WCG Stats Wed 29th March 2006

Morning All

Had a bit of a shock this morning
after calculating the stats found we had over 4 million points

now before any party's begin let me tell you why
I have been calculating Adywebb's points in full, however, Ady spent a short time away camping and although those points are still credited to him, they don't all belong to the team.
I'll still leave Adys points as is, but I need to adjust the total for the team to reflect the correct score

Confusing? well it is for me too, but then I can't do anything about it. Captains have no power or control over the team.

Cheers for the stats Mucksifter.
IE problem has got worse now trying Opera as it crash's in IE6 or Firefox, hence crunching will be low as keep having to reconnect to net. Anyone got a good free registry cleaner/fixer as it may be a conflict in the registry??

Yeah, dont worry too much Quad. The first day after the change is usually well down. But tomorrow should be good!!

The WU's are validated in a quorum of four, (Four jobs to calculate the credit granted, highest and lowest points are discarded. The two middle scoring results are calculated to give you and the other three pc's the score for that WU.)
Hope that makes sense.

Also BOINC credit is multiplied by 7 to give you your WCG points total.

One last thing, Some of the WU's going about lately are big buggers, so if you get the same as a slow pc it will take you less time to crunch that WU, thus your waiting for the other 3 to complete said WU so you can get your points.

Go to My Grid > Device Manager > Results Status to check the status of your WU's.
