what simulations are you running? i'll probably be doing the same thing this year so you might get the odd question :)

also to let you guys know i'm off on holiday for a week tomorrow so i won't be returning any new results, i should have 5 or 6 pending though

It's stuff for a new type of 3D aircraft display (real 3D, without the need for any glasses or associated headgear). I've attached a screenshot to show the sort of thing it shows, but obviously only a 2D screenshot.

thats amazing, bit more advanced that what i'll ever do

i mainly do CAD work on parts and the odd fluid simulation in ducts and pipes etc

So i take it this would help with navigation rather than actually flying whilst looking at this? or am i missing the point of this altogether?

Yep that's right, it's a new navigation display for pilots :)

CFD simulation can take some hefty computing power if that's what you'll be using, CAD is good fun though sometimes :D

thats the stuff, i was hoping it wouldn't be too bad, thats if i even get a copy to install at home
