With WCG down for at least a couple of days the stats are going to go haywire.....heavens knows whats going to happen to them when WCG gets back on line again

I think it may be worth suspending them for a couple of days?

Hmmmm...just had a thought - WCG are changing servers/location etc, so it may well be that they won't work at all without Winkie having to do some editing regarding where he gets the stats feed from as the old addresses probably won't work

Quite a lot of red messages here also, but looks as if BOINC might be getting through again now (within the last ten minutes or so, that is.) It "says" it's uploading... but I don't think it is, because the completed units are just sitting there lol. But I expect it will all sort itself out in due course

I've paused the stats script until Sat, so we'll be without the daily stats thread for a couple of days while WCG complete the move

Yes thats what happened to me then they were all red 100% uploaded obvious not finished but they are gone walkies

Yep - they won't get through....but BOINC will keep on trying, so to stop BOINC constantly trying to connect I would go to 'Activity' and select 'Network Activity Suspended' for a couple of days - they will just sit there showing 'uploading' under 'Tasks' but under 'Transfers' they will show the uploading suspended

With one PC it has lost all the un-completed work there are 3 units waiting for transfer I have now shut down BOINC on that PC but! On the other I have stopped BOINC accessing the net Suspended each unit apart from 2 [dual core] when they finish I will then allow another to crunch and so on and so on as when they do finish they are pretty well safe untill BOINC has finished maintenance. Now I am getting confused so time for a coffee me thinks. Oh yes finished my maintenance work nice clean crunching machine x2

Mine have all gone walkies and my credit went from 5600 to 4829 so I hope it all goes back to normal and I get my credit back for all those jobs..

Reading some posts at other teams on their forums it seems WCG may have sent out a script to abort uncrunched work units so they don't get a massive surge of uploading when they come back online - this may explain that some have had their work queues deleted

Thank you for the advice Ady and Itsme - I have suspended network activity now, but allowing the crunching to continue.

I see that the "deadline" date is not until the 18th, (for mine) so uploading could probably remain "in suspenders" until after the anticipated bottleneck has passed.

Crunching continues.

I have fairly long lists of projects "waiting to start" - enough for several days. Two completed tasks are "waiting to report". But now I've checked in Messages they seem to have been uploaded at 13.55, after several failed attempts earlier in the day. No suspenders here.

Transfers is empty, which always makes me happy.

Are things already getting back to normal?
