Hey Everyone,



I thought I would break my silence with a question. I am looking at the stats and I have 25 thousand point and 38 results. It seems to me that people have got higher results but less points. So could someone explain to me how these stats are calculated? I guess what I am asking is why points are more important then results?

Hi Darkangel, nice to see you here is the explanation about points, taken from the WCG website:

What are points?
Your computer contribution is shown in three measures-points, total run time and results returned. The term points is simply used as a way of measuring the amount of computation your computer has contributed. If your computer works for three days on one work unit, or in those same three days completes 5 work units, you will accumulate the same number ofpoints assuming that your computer worked at about the same level of effort in each scenario.
