Well this is wierd, I couldn't figure out why my results kept staying the same on here when I leave my comp crunching away 24/7 (excluding ueage time of course). At first I figured it was because I'm only running the one comp & that's a laptop so I'd probably increase slower than everyone else... but when I didn't increase at all I started to smell something dodgy. So I went & checked the boinc manager (Not something i do too often I'm afraid as for some reason it only ever shows the first couple of words in each sentance so I always have to copy & paste to see what's in it) & apparently my computer has just been running the same piece of data around & around in circles, never finishing it for days, probably at least a fortnight. The 'job' was now 9.65 days overdue & they recomended aborting it (& thereby losing whatever credits I had gained before it got stuck in a loop so I fully expect to get the wooden spoon award tomorrow )
I had wondered why, whenever my screen went sleepybyes, it told me that I had completed only 1% of the current job, but had told myself not to be stupid, it was probably just a run of short jobs or some such, but presumably I got this job sometime before the due date so goodness knows how long my comp has been sitting here playing solitaire. Hopefully it is just the one job & things should get back to normal now. I may be the tortise in this race, but at least I should be out of my shell & moving now

Hello cirianz,

I thought it a bit strange you hadn't been scoring ... but I'm not one for err, twisting peoples arms, well, not too hard anyway.

You have to keep an eye on that Boinc, at least check it once a day, many of us have caught it napping ... so no wooden spoon then.
