WCF vs .NET Web Services

Are there any advantages to using WCF web services over the traditional
..NET web service project?

Any links would be helpful also. I haven't been able to find much info
on this.

You could read and understand 'Programming "INDIGO"' from Microsoft Press.
The benefits will be clear to you. The book is easy to read if you consider
yourself to be fluent in the design of enterprise systems.
