WC3 & DirectX 9.0b on XP

anybody had a bad experience with DirectX9 (9.xxxx) - Warcraft III on XP Pro?

I just had my slooow system (2nd PC) super tweaked in order to get the performance I want using DirectX8.1 for WC3 playing and I want to try newer games on it. If there are even minor issues w/ it. I'd rather not install it on this PC.

btw, could I simply use system restore to remove DirectX9 just in case?

thanks,

Hi Revnouz,

You're right on the money. Set a restore point before installing
DX 9.0b (mind you the version that installed with Halo setup
the restore point for me automatically! :) DX 9.0b should
give you more performance and quality, but it's still nice to have
that safety net.
