Way To Open Next Msg After Deleting Msg?

Is there a way to set my Microsoft Mail so that when I read and delete a
message the next message in the list opens up?

That's the default, so there's probably a way to do it. I don't happen
to know it, though.

View>Layout>disable Preview Pane>apply/OK
Put the Preview Button on the top Toolbar, switch back and forth as is your
want?
View>Layout>Customise Toolbar.
