Hi Ju,
You need to see if you can identify how this process is loading, then
prevent it from loading.
To determine how the process is loading, see if you can identify the
program using MSConfig:
1. Start / Run / MSConfig
2. Go to the Startup tab (the last tab) and see if you have a related item
in the list.
3. If you can identify the item, uncheck it and choose OK <skip to #5>
4. If you cannot identify it, go to the first tab (General) and choose
Selective Startup
a. Uncheck "load startup items" then hit OK
5. You will be prompted to restart the computer.
Note: You will still see the symptom one more time on this shutdown.
6. After Windows has restarted, see if you see the symptom on the next
shutdown
IF YOU DO: you know the cause is not in your startup items
- You can use MSConfig again but this time look at items on the the
Services tab
IF YOU DONT: you know the cause is one of your startup items.
- You can uninstall the item you located in #3 above
- If you used #4 above, a more thorough review of the startup items is
needed.
