I have a document that has the word "draft" on all the pages. I tried to go
to background and delete watermark but it shows "no watermarks". I can't
figure out how to get rid of it. I tried clicking into it, but it doesn't
work. How can I get rid of this?

Before Word2003 for adding watermarks we had to anchor them to header/footer
and thats what you have in your document. Click on View and then
header/footer and now you must be able to clcik on watermartks and delete them

A watermark by definition is just a graphic anchored to the header and
formatted as Behind Text. When you are in the header pane (View | Header and
Footer), you should be able to select the watermark and delete it.

It does not appear on header and footer and it's not in the background menu.
It's in the middle of the document and can only be seen on the print view.
When I print it, it does not appear. I have tried everything but nothing has
worked so far. I am using windows 2003.

By "print view" do you mean Print Layout or Print Preview? If it shows in
Print Preview and doesn't print, then there's something very wrong. If it
shows in Print Layout view and doesn't print, then it's probably because
"Drawing objects" is not checked on the Print tab of Tools | Options.

If it's not anchored to the header or footer, then it must be anchored to a
paragraph on the page (and in this case it would appear on only one page,
not all). If that's the case, display the Drawing toolbar, click on the
Select Objects tool (big white arrow), and then select the graphic and
delete.

I clicked on the paragraph button on the toolbar and deleted a section break
that did not belong and then it was gone.
