Watermark problems

I've been trying to print a document with a "DRAFT" watermark. It
displays properly, but no matter what I do, when it prints, letters
are missing.

I've tried this with a new document, just a watermark, different text
watermarks, diagonal or horizontal, autosize and various manual sizes,
various fonts. And there are always letters missing in the printed
copy.

Any idea where I should start in order to figure this out?

TIA,

Andy

Turn off "semitransparent" in your text watermark.
That did it! Sure wish I had asked here before I spent an hour trying
everything else.

What's "semitransparent" for? Is it a bug?

Thanks!

It's hard to say what it could be for since (a) a watermark is "washed out"
to begin with and (b) since it's behind everything else, it hardly matters
whether you can see through it. The effect, though, seems to be to make
every other letter totally transparent. <g>
