Greetings --

Haven't tried activating via phone from Canada, but I can't
imagine that it would be significantly different from the way it is
here the States: A brief, cordial telephone conversation with a
polite, helpful individual. No hassles, problems, or any other sort
of awkwardness.

Product Activation takes about 10 seconds when performed via the internet.
If activation by telephone is required, that takes about 5 minutes.

Smooth for me (twice)!

I've activated at least a hundred times via internet and around 10 times via
phone - from Canada - all attempts were painless.

It's extremely simple and easy, whether done automatically over
the internet, or by voice phone call.

Does living
in non USA(meaning Canada) make a difference?

I have no experience with doing it from Canada, but I don't see
why that should make any difference.

Hey Boogers;
After you activate, how about setting the time or time zone in your
computer.
Your posting from the future.

Activation can be a bit of a pain when you get an over-zealous PA rep,
and having to type in the 50 numbers into a phone can be frustrating,
especially when then PA phone rep asks you to repeat it.

Do you like to play Russian Roulette? If you do then PA is just the
thing for your computer, because occasionally it screws up, and locks
people out of their computers.

Gee, Bruce, you must be privileged! I've had to activate twice by phone, and
both times got the friendly machine-voice.

As far as internet activation, it's mere seconds on a fast connection ;-)

Activating from Canada by phone was easy the last time I did it. I had this
feeling I was talking to a Yank but didn't ask.

I never got to talk to a human. I got an automated system that worked
just fine. No muss, no fuss.

Hi All,

Thank- you for all the replies maybe I will upgrade. OT question here; I
been trying to keep my brand new address off the newsgroups and Voice of the
Mysterons posted it in their reply (I don't even know how they got it) , am
I going to get spammed because of crawlers scanning the newsgroups? Just
changed my email to avoid spam.

Thank you,
Boogers

Never had to do that. I got the machine voice and it allowed me to say
the numbers. I wonder about your experiences. But then I wonder about
you.
